Howe’s Hunter 04-09-2015 12:09 PM

These are actually February pick-ups. I'm just really slow getting to a scanner

Joe Yanello has come through for me again. Joe has been great about letting me know when a card with Howe's stamp comes his way, and always offers it at a fair price.
<a href="http://s150.photobucket.com/user/T206ster/media/270%20-%20Doyle_zpszz0ufk2o.png.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s81/T206ster/270%20-%20Doyle_zpszz0ufk2o.png" border="0" alt="270 - Doyle photo 270 - Doyle_zpszz0ufk2o.png"/></a>

Mitchell comes from an eBay transaction with board member Larry. Thanks, Larry.

Numbers 270 and 271 in the rebuilt collection. Thanks to everyone on the board for the heads-ups when these show up at auction or shows or whatever. I really appreciate the help getting as many of these back together as I can.

Nice Howes Ed! And Greg, you're getting some beautiful t206s

Love this Kling for a few reasons. The registration and caption jump are cool, and I've been after this f/b combo for a little while.

The Chase is my newest 2-namer (Jacklistch).

canjond 04-09-2015 04:18 PM

Pretty neat item... I've known these boxes existed, but never saw one come up for sale. El Principe de Gales, in addition to the small clam shell cigarette boxes that held cards, also produced cigars. The cigar boxes are the size of a typical wooden cigar box, and essentially look like a giant sized version of the cigarette box.

For comparison, here's the cigarette box:

luke....

that brown "caption" jump is exceedingly rare....

if that kling was inside the border you would be looking at a multi K card:eek:

Picked up a tough 1911 Zeenut pose variation. Heitmuller in general is among the very tough 1911 Zeenut subjects, but the small pose is incredibly hard to find.

A couple antique mall finds this last weekend.

First off is an Olsen's Base Ball card game printed by Olsen Games Co. in Portland Oregon. The instructions are copyright 1925, though I don't know when this actual set was printed. Included are 60 cards, 30 of them red backed and 30 blue backed. I can't find much information about the set but each card features a generic baseball player with a different baseball play. I removed the rubber band but it appears the bottom of the box may have been removed at some point, so the cards can slide out easily.

The second purchase was a vintage badminton racket manufactured by George Gibson Bussey & Co. I can't find much information on it but it appears to be late 19th century or early 20th century.

If anyone knows anything more about either of these items, please let me know. Thanks for looking.

Grant
