Leon, if you got that E222 Otey from Heritage, I was an under bidder. I should have run the price up just a bit more! :p

Jason and Seth, thanks for your kind comments. Seth, I was also an under bidder on the Otey card. Although I am basically not a set collector, there are 2 sets that I'd like to complete before I kick the bucket, but most likely won't - the 1925 Holland Creameries and the E222s, which have long fascinated me. Here's the rest of my E222s.

How about an NFL HOFer Minor League card?
Very rare 1919 Zeenut Paddy Driscoll. Only 3 total cards in SGC/PSA/BVG Pop Reports. Played 13 games for the Cubs in 1917 and then 39 games for the Los Angeles Angels PCL team in 1919. Then went on to play professional football from 1919-1929 and was voted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 1965.

(for Sacremento) as well as Zeenut Series 1919 Do you know what name it is? Curious if that is a one-off print issue, or if it is on all the (very elusive to find) 1919 Driscoll Zeenut cards |

I cannot read the player name - looks like it begins with an "M." I have not found even another scan of a Driscoll anywhere to compare it to, so not sure if it is on all of them or not. Was housecleaning and found this scan behind the bedroom dresser...a couple of Obak players with different fronts for each year (1909, 1910, 1911). And in typical Obak fashion, they are pretty darn good looking cards.

I think this might be the first minor league card set, the 1886 Hancock Clothing Syracuse Stars cards. Here is the Buckley, their catcher.

Here is the back of the Buckley card. I like the cards because they are kind of related (big stretch) to the Old Judge set. Goodwin & Company distributed the Old Judge set, Goodwin (different Goodwin) was the photographer for the Hancock cards. Also, both Buckley and Tomney, two of the three known subjects in this set, later appeared in the Old Judge set.
