That's good. We need to have at least 100, and I got 50 myself.

I'm pretty sure I can dredge up some cards, Bobby.

Jason 08-16-2019 03:16 PM

Bobby, I have about 6-8 cards I have been needing to have graded by PSA. I’ll gladly join your sub. I have seen your others in the past and think your communication through every step is top notch. Thank you for having another.

pokerplyr80 08-16-2019 03:39 PM

how much per card?

jcc6252 08-16-2019 05:12 PM

Bobby, I'm in again for a few.

Baseballcrazy62 08-16-2019 06:18 PM

FWIW: PSA has a quarterly special for pre 1960 cards with only a 25 card minimum and 45 day turnaround. You probably already know that but a 45 day turn is better than the 85 day turn on bulk submissions. I broke a large bulk submission into 4 smaller ones at the National and am curious what the results will be.

Mike D. 08-16-2019 06:26 PM

I’d love to take part (my first ever PSA submission).

Thanks for organizing this!

That is good, but I do like the BULK subs, because there are ZERO limitations.....old cards....new cards.......doesn't matter.

$9 per card/.....$8 for PSA and $1 per card to help cover shipping to and from Cali.

Do it.

I can send cards this week.

Opinions needed...

I have this 1968 Mantle with an ST qualifier. The 'stain' is a tiny bit of gum/wax in front of his face, and it could be eliminated immediately with a quick wipe of the panty hose (don't get me started on my hatred of the 'stain' designation with regards to wax on the front of a card)...

Attachment 362608

Should I do it? Obviously, the only reason I would is because I want the card to be more 'valuable' due to the lack of a qualifier, but I would be annoyed if it came back as a lower grade (which is always a possibility) and/or possibly graded with an OC qualifier instead, because I just realized it is somewhat uncomfortably close to the bottom (and left) border.

Funny, but not really the right place....ooohhhhh as in last date to get cards inb, not a trimming reference.... nevermind..

I miss the old SNL.

JollyElm 08-18-2019 02:27 PM

Yeah, have Jon Lovitz looking at a card..."It's a PSA 3, no wait...now it's a PSA 9...that's the ticket!"

bobbyw8469 08-19-2019 08:27 AM

Sounds like plenty of interest.,

bobbyw8469 08-19-2019 11:25 AM

We are ON....for those who have subbed before, you know the routine. For those that haven't here ya go. Send the cards in a CARD SAVER 1 or 2!!! They must be STANDARD SIZE. No oversized cards!!! Include a slip of paper stating the cards, and what you classify them as. Your net 54 handle (so I can know how to contact you), and your return shipping address. Also, the value you place on the cards. This is FAIR VALUE - what you want to be reimbursed should PSA damage your cards. Don't lie and say a $5 card is worth $99. PSA will want you to prove it.
You can include a check or paypal/venmo me once I confirm receipt. DO NOT PAY BEFORE HAND. It's easier when everyone does the same thing.

The cost is $9 per card. $8 is what PSA charges, and the extra $1 per card helps defray the shipping cost TO and FROM California. For this type of bulk sub, there are NO YEARLY limitations. Every year is good, however, the value per card CAN NOT exceed $100. That's it.

What about return shipping from you to us? You must need more than $1 to cover that. Sorry...my first time and want to make sure I pay correctly!

Thank you!

Thank you!

After the dust settles, you are repsonsible for return shipping back to you. I have no way to guesstimate that due to the weight of the slabs, and not all cards might not get graded. After everything gets weighed out and you decide if you need insurance or not, then we can determine return shipping back to you. So yes....there are some costs involved....but it is pretty painless.

Mike D. 08-19-2019 01:34 PM

Thanks Bobby...makes perfect sense.

Now, I just need to buy some magnification so my old eyes can pick what cards to submit!

drcy 08-19-2019 03:08 PM

I don't agree with bobby on PSA topics, but admire his ability to boldly stand up for himself.

Are you able to do reviews as part of this bulk deal? Typically you would just pay an additional shipping cost, but not sure you have factored that in? I will send roughly 25 if so.

Thanks

Reviews are NOT part of the deal. These will all be raw cards.

Bobby - thanks so much for doing this . . . AGAIN!!

I have one '61 Union Oil PCL card. Size is 3" x 4". Sokay? Also a few Topps '52.

bobbyw8469 08-21-2019 02:54 PM

The 1952 Topps are definitely OK.....they CAN NOT be bigger than Tall Boys....here is the largest they can be....

3 1/2" x 5 1/6

They MUST be that size or smaller. And cards only. No pins. No coins.

Hi Bob, I have 10 T206 that I'll send later this week. Thanks again.

Bobby, I have this 1997 Topps Certified Autograph Willie Mays card. Does it count...or does the auto throw a monkey wrench into the works?

Thanks again for doing this...didn’t send anything high value, but interested to see what grades they get (yes, I understand I could have a LONG wait!)

Have to send the Mays on a dual submission, not bulk. Misses the year cutoff by one.

Just to clarify. I couldn't care less what the autograph is graded, I just want the card itself graded (so it'll be protected inside a slab). Is that okay, or is it a no-go?? The card was issued/put in a pack with the autograph on it, so it's not like submitting some random card that I got signed later, right?

1998-present pack pulled cards are okay for PSA in bulk submissions, not before. Must go through PSA/DNA dual service to get this card graded.

Autographed cards dated pre-1998 and/or those not directly from the manufacturer must be sent through Card and Autograph Dual Service (fee may vary depending on card value, see listed restrictions and requirements). More advice needed...

In scanning through my cards to find ones worthy of grading through Bobby's group sub, I've come to a fork in the road. This second-year 1964 Pete Rose is obviously way off center and verging on miscut, but the card sells for a decent amount in all grades, so I'd like to have it graded simply to make it easier to move sometime down the road (hopefully a long time from now).

Attachment 365246Attachment 365247

Here's the problem. The corners are nicely squared and the only really visible 'problem' is that tiny notch (so to speak) at the top (which looks 1000% worse in the scan than it does in real life). But, and it's a big but...on back there are 4 microscopic black dots that I have to assume are marks. No matter how much they are magnified, I can't tell what the heck they are, and the cardboard isn't indented from a pen. If this card was graded, I assume the MK qualifier would take precedence, correct? Even though it's wildly OC, it would get whatever grade they deem it is with an MK on the label, or does it get downgraded due to the centering PLUS the added qualifier??

As an example, here's a random Pete Rose RC (screengrab from ebay) that is also obviously way OC, but it got a ST designation instead...
Attachment 365248

Should I get my '64 Rose graded? Opinions are very welcome.
