Does anyone invest in/follow CLCT stock?

I was just reading another thread comparing the virtues of the various grading companies and it caused me to look at PSA/Collectors Universe stock...probably for the first time in years. And this is what I saw...this week positive earnings cause 20%+ jump in their stock this week.

I follow the markets on a daily basis and I'm surprised I've never checked this out???? Does anyone invest in CLCT these days????

I don't invest in it, but it's interesting that it's approaching it's all-time high. I wonder what the reason for the increase is? I also wonder what the ceiling is?

apparently last quarter earnings were very good partly due to a deal with china for grading some of their coins...weird stuff!!!! I don't think I would go near it at this price.

I dabble some in stocks. Made a few bucks here and there. Never ever thought about looking at them.

I have a small amount that I got when it was about 15...good dividend earner, might be time to unload though!

I've got a bit, as David said, it's a good dividend. And performance overall isn't bad.

i think i read somewhere the CEO recently dumped 1/3 of their holdings.

If that is true, I'd dump 100% of my holdings.

I dont see any large sell-off by any of of the inside holder or at least not reported on Yahoo.

I was looking at the stock at around $10 but didn't pull the trigger. (as further proof that I should leave the stock market to the professionals).

Good profit margins and no debt.

Loss explained

Their stock certificates (remember those ?) are now made of cardboard instead of precious metal and the rumor on the street is that many of the new ones have been trimmed.:eek::eek:

Cut their dividend in half

They cut their dividend in half, so with the drop in price with yield is now ~4%

Update on Dividend Policy
The Board of Directors approved a dividend of $0.175 per share for the third quarter of fiscal 2018 for an expected annual dividend of $0.70 per share. This represented a reduction from the quarterly dividend of $0.35 per share that we have previously paid to our stockholders and would increase available cash to fund our operations and the growth of our businesses by approximately $6.0 million annually. The third quarter dividend will be paid on February 23, 2018 to stockholders of record on February 13, 2018.

Frank, your takes typically elicit a smile and a chuckle from me. Thank you.

That's never a good sign.No wonder one of the Exec's dumped a bunch of his holdings (as referenced in another post). Not too sure you're legally allowed to do that.
