Need advice

I have two choices, ask the other guy if he'll rescind or just suck it up and not deal with the guy again.<br /><br />Details: I gave a guy, who regularly buys cards from me and who I thought was honest, a '66 Philadelphia Sayers rookie, a '64 Philadelphia Ditka and Jurgensen. The cards were VG. In return I received a '56 Topps Aparicio rookie and $30 cash. The Aparicio was in a thick screwdown and I couldn't see a major crease and thought the card was VG. I didn't see the crease until I got home and took it out of the screwdown.<br /><br />The guy knew the crease was there and didn't say a thing. I always tell him when a card has a crease. I always give him great prices on cards. I feel cheated. <br /><br />Any advice?

Posted By: <b>Paul S</b><p>Well, you should feel cheated, because you WERE cheated. Don't kick yourself in the butt too much for the "stupid" part of it. You trusted the guy because he's a regular. Amazing that a person who deals regularly with you would want to put one over on you (not that anyone should <i>ever</i> do this, but it happens). I think you should definitely confront him about it, and not just ignore it -- you know you're going to see him again at some point. You'll probably feel better that way, even if he denies the crease was there originally. Maybe give him a chance to amend his bad deed. The guy has more to lose if you and other dealers refuse to cut him any slack in future deals.<br /><br /><br /><br />
