Same front but different player

4 Attachment(s)
this should be fun-there are cards with the same front but the caption lists a different player

Tango lists the player as Weaver Chicago American and e102 lists the player as Tinker Chicago National

Attachment 5172

T213-1 lists the player as Dunn Brooklyn and T213-2 lists the player as Dunn Baltimore

Attachment 5173

d303 mothers lists the player as Louden Cincinnati and e106 lists the player as Knabe Baltimore

Attachment 5174Attachment 5175

lets see what you have-there are several Baltimore cards like this-I would like to see those if you have them but any will do

all these cards are mine except the Mothers -I copied it from the BST

Quite interesting, the only card that makes any sense is the Dunn card.T-213-1 shows him in his Brooklyn uni but you then show T-213-2 with baltimore. The only answer that makes senses is he was traded to baltimore as the -2 cards were done maybe at a later time as I am not that familiar with the 213's it is only a guess. The other cards are very mysterious but one thing about all of them they are from Lousiana and it seems the federal league was part of this. Now this is what makes this site enjoyable, new discoveries and research,I look forward to replies from the experts on these issues. If I remember correctly the Tango Egg cards were a recent find years ago not sure what year but I do recall these cards. Thanks Jim for spotting these mysterious errors.

I have seen the same portrait for two separate players used before in earlier sets. Some of which are laughable in their depictions.

As for the t213s, I'm pretty sure all the lithos match their t206 counterparts, new team or league not withstanding. For example I own both a t206 Devore - N.Y. Nationals (Giants) and a t213 Devore - Chillicothe. Each is a mirror image. Someone else might have more exact info but I'm pretty positive that t213s were released several years after t206s (1914-15) but still carry the exact same front artwork.

The N284's have a ton of same images, though they did change the uniform color and add a mustache if needed.

The D303 Felsch and the E90-1 Demmit have the same image.

E91s have a ton of these; many of the cards re-used the same generic poses.
Here's an example:

nice examples

the Dunn cards both show Joe Dunn Brooklyn. I guess Coupon didn't have an image of Jack Dunn so they used Joe again and changed the caption.

The image used for Joe Dunn Coupon is used for the t206 set also.
