The checks look too rosy to me and the centering is unusually perfect....

It is very difficult to tell from that picture. His cheeks don't bother me and the wear on the card looks natural rather than manufactured like many fakes. The background images look a bit blurry though. You can't see the detail on the trees, etc. That could just be the picture you've provided though.

There are a few things about this that make me a little concerned. The edges are a little uneven and the image looks a little blurry (could be the camera resolution). Plus, the fact it's by a Rose rookie makes me uncomfortable (is the seller selling both or is it in the picture to make sure you know he owns real cards?). That said, it doesn't have many of the usual things that bother me about fakes in this condition. They are usually either too white or look like they have been dipped in coffee.

In the end, you don't seem comfortable with this card so I wouldn't touch it. There is obviously something about it you don't like. There are many copies of this card to be had in the low $1,000 range to waste money on an ungraded version you are unsure of.

A good scan or photo image of the backside would be much more useful in making a judgement about the card. Most counterfeits are quickly indentified by problems with the card backs.
