Does anyone on here know anything about this card. I read a thread on Blowout, but just seeing if anyone has more info, thanks all

Well, there should have been 3500 signed Bronze cards. The catch on Nixon is that he never returned his cards. Nixon was in a group of seven putzy players that did not return cards.

The other 6 did return them well after the release and they were random dropped into the extended series. Nixon still was a no show.

From my understanding they started to mysteriously pop up after 2005. I have never heard a good explanation as to where they came from. Logically if they are not leftover factory stock they must be the ones given to Nixon and he sold them or gave them away later.

I personally think based on the very thorough history of Leaf employees selling piles of the same 1 of 1s for big cash at the NSCC and the scads of unissued cards slid out the back door after they closed think these are more of the same. Cards pulled out the backdoor and the same person had Nixon sign them at an event to fleece set completists.

Interesting, never heard the storage unit story.

The history of what popped up from Leaf still leaves me questioning.

That's entirely plausible.

I picked up a lot of 100 of a classic - I think 5 sport- signed card that weren't signed. Still have them except for maybe 1 or 2 I sold.

They were listed in Beckett for a few years as being signed, but I never saw one and they were dropped after a while.
