Question regarding the market
I've seen a lot of people selling off Mantles here in the last couple weeks. I do see how they are at an all time high and possibly people are cashing in because of that.I was wondering if anyone had any insight on which cards might experience the same fate. Any insight on this issue would be greatly appreciated

I can't speak for Mantle.
However, as high grade cards continue to nudge upwards and price potential buyers out, more interest will be on mid-grade cards. As PSA has tightened up their grading, there are very nice looking 5's and 6's that can be had for reasonable prices. Even nice looking 3's and 4's, with minor defects, can be picked up inexpensively. Just scrutinize potential cards for a collection or investment as usual. Buy the card not the grade. This is a great time for collectors. Investors will still need to look at higher grade examples that are free from flaws. My crystal ball tells me so...... |
Cards
Thanks for your input. The reason I was curious is I bought a lot of Hall of Fame cards from the 50's and 60's about 10 years ago.Majority of my card are PSA 5-7s. I mainly collect Mays and Aaron's so I didn't want to see my cards decrease in value.

Aaron is very undervalued imo. Could make an argument for mays too. Sounds like you're safe, and have some nice cards as well!

I think that Mantle's are also an easy sale, and here is a place that fees can be avoided. Collectors often sell to buy other stuff, and the Mick will always be in demand.
Here is a really nice mid grade Mick .... the appeal beats most 8's Attachment 276740 |
