Scanner
Hello,
I know this has been discussed numerous times, but what scanner(s) are recommended for superior quality and good speed? I couldn't find a recent post, and I am am unsure how fast scanning technology evolves so I thought I would ask again. Sorry if the redundancy is irksome. It appears the canon one is the best unless it has been dethroned. Mark |
My epson v33 was $40 on ebay and I am real happy with it.

I bought an Epson V550 last week and I love it. It's a very easy plug-and-play setup, and it does flat scans and raised slabs both beautifully.

Mark, whatever brand of scanner you get, just make sure it has a CCD scanning element, which will enable you to make clear scans of cards in slabs. Scanners with the other type of scanning element (CIS is what I think it is called) will make blurry scans of cards in slabs. Both types will do fine with flat items and raw cards. My Epson V330 does a good job for me.
