Fantasy Leagues - Hows your season?

I've spent the last 2 days wheeling and dealing in the Net54 ESPN leagues. I can't remember the last time I was so active in trades. I traded Cano for Josh Harrison and Verlander in one league and just traded Britton for Cueto in the other. Wondering how everyone's seasons are going. Disappointments? Waiver wire steals? Let's chat it up. Right now I'm not in good shape but hoping my trades turn my teams around.

I take it you're in league 3? lol. Yeah I'm prone to dumb trades sometimes. Hopefully it works out for both of us (but mostly me). :D

Currently 2nd in an NL only league. But a freefall is coming. We lost Pence, Puig and Velasquez in the last few days.

I don't think it was a dumb trade at all. I need wins, K's, and WHIP. Cueto does all that for me. If you needed saves, you got the best closer in the game this year.

I'm only in one league. It's a crazy complex Dynasty League with salary cap, non-guaranteed, guaranteed, and restricted contracts, and a 10 player minor league roster where you can call guys up when they get promoted to the big leagues. Basically, weather you call-up a player from your Minors or if you won them at auction, you can keep them form 4-5 years as long as your willing to pay/have enough cap. I'm 6-3, and in 2nd place in total points.

I have Kershaw and have had him for the past 4 years. He costs me $73 towards our $260 total cap (23 player roster) and this is the last year I can keep him. I won him for $44 at auction 4 years ago.

Players on my team I've "hit" on at auction the past couple years: Mookie Betts, Carlos Martinez, Kyle Seager, Alex Colome, Travis Shaw

Players on my team I've "hit" on by drafting in the Minor League draft the past couple years: Carlos Correa (although he needs to turn it around this year), Stephen Piscotty, Nomar Mazara

Players on my team who are disappointments so far this year: Jose Abreu, Chris Archer, Michael Wacha

Players who have been "finds" off waivers for me so far this year: Jay Bruce, Jose Ramirez, Yangervis Solarte, Drew Pomeranz

Yeah, I know. It's all good. I just have a history of my trades getting hurt or going in a downward spiral a couple weeks later. :)

So far my best draft surprise has been Mark Trumbo. Hopefully he keeps it up in the 2nd half.

I picked up Billy Hamilton from the wire a couple weeks ago. Before grabbing him I was last in steals, I've moved up 4 spots since. Aledmys Diaz and Chris Tillman haven't been too shabby pickups either.

Woah, that sounds cool. I've never been in one that detailed.

Reminds me a little of my first league (although nowhere near as complex) in 1991 where our games were head to head computer simulations. Once a week print outs of the weeks games with play-by-play and stats were physically mailed to us.

Of the 5 I am in, two highlights.

1. A Dynasty league I joined on random, have been in first place the whole year.
2. A roto elimination league which has a neat concept. After a set date, the last place team gets locked and their players released to FA/W list. League starts out at 20 teams and the last place team got dropped on Monday. The rosters only have 3 bench spots and are full size, 2x each post player besides catchers and a bunch of pitchers. I've been in between 1-5th place, so I'm comfortable. I'm sure I wouldn't think it were so cool if I was not doing well like my other leagues.

I've never heard of that before. I like it. 20 teams is rough. Is there just one elimination or are there multiple elimination dates?

First elimination round was on Monday. I presume then each other last place team gets locked and dumped (eliminated) weekly until there are 12 teams.

It is definately not a built in feature. the league commish has to do it manually.
