Quality Dealer Recommendations?

Posted By: Tony
Hello,

I am glad I found this website. There are some wonderful articles and comments. I like to collect football items preferably pre-1970. However, I do not collect the traditional (Topps, Fleer, Philadelphia etc..). Instead, I enjoy the items that are perhaps considered unusual.

With that in mind, I would like to let every one know of such a dealer that I have been working with for over fourteen years. Who offers a great selection of memorabilia (including non-card items), knows his stuff, and offers great service. He is Mike Hattley from Touchdown Treasures. He has both a store front & auction website. He had helped me with such items as: 1930's Diamond match covers, 1930's Wheaties panels, 1948-52 Exhibits, 1950 Bread Labels, 1959 Bazooka, 1961 National City Bank Browns, 1962 Post Cereal & Salada coins, 1959-64 Kahns, 1967 Royal Castle Dolphins, 1977 Topps Mexicans.... Well you get the idea.

You can visit his website at www.touchdown-treasures.com

Does any one else know of any other football dealers carrying this type of off-beat material?

Regards,
Tony

Posted By: leon
I spoke with Mike yesterday, at length. He seems like a really nice guy. I am going to add his company contact info to our links section (probably today) so he can be a resource over there. I would recommend him to anyone interested in football stuff ....take care and happy holidays....

Also, a football Exhibit card or Diamond Matchbook, for examples, are very much like a baseball exhibit card or Diamond matchbook-- so if you know about one, you'll know about the other.
