See you in Reading....next PHILLY Show on Oct 12-14

The trip<br /> to Reading, at this time of the year, can be spectacular as the autumn colors are starting to show in Pennsylvania.<br /><br />Show hours are......<br /> <br />FRIDAY.........5 PM - 9 PM<br /><br />SATURDAY.....9 AM - 5 PM<br /><br />SUNDAY........9 AM - 4 PM<br /><br />Frank Howard is signing on Saturday and Jim "Mudcat" Grant on Sunday.<br /><br />I have a Frank Howard story to relate to you....that every time I tell it, it really amazes me....6:7 tall, Frank was capable of <br />tremendous hitting power. And, the best example of this was one day back in the '60s at Yankee Stadium. He hit a line drive<br /> so hard that Tony Kubek (at SS) leaped to catch it. The ball soared above Kubek's reach....and, hit the 457 ft. marker on the<br /> left-centerfield wall on a fly. <br />I will reiterate....this was a soaring line drive that traveled over 460 feet....is that POWER....or what ?<br /><br />Anyhow, Net54ers get off your duff and make the trip (ebay will still be there when you return home). There is nothing that<br />compares with real personal interaction with fellow collectors. Try to be there Friday evening, and you wont be disappointed. <br />I don't get it when I hear collectors say they could not find any good stuff.....but, then you find out that they did not get to<br /> the show until Saturday afternoon.<br /><br />And, contrary to recent "rumors"....the EPSCC Show has not been sold to other show promoters.<br /><br />TED Z <br /><br />
