Hi Net54, I just finished this T206 Honus Wagner made from cut up baseball cards. What would you grade it at?

MVSNYC 01-19-2019 06:23 PM

Would grade “A”, looks trimmed.

;)

Awesome job! Very cool.

Nice going! Congrats!

I'd love to see that flip over and have a Ty Cobb back, btw... :)

I do not know the grade but I know the value. It is priceless. That is awesome and beyond creative. Too cool! Congratulations.

Another fantastic piece. I'd like to see you and Tim Carroll collaborate on a T202 piece where you each get one half and then work together on the center panel. That would be awesome.

I would grade it a 7.5 where a 1 is me and a 10 is Tim Carroll.

Great job I never get tired of seeing this form of artwork!

87 Donruss now has a place in the hobby. I think I found a Hershiser, Murphy, Gonzalez and Boggs in their too. Also, looks like Tinker in the chin and I see what may be a Fidel Castto?

I second the request for a back. But, I'd offer a twist - Red Sun back just for fun.

Really appreciate your talent. Very nice piece.

Really well done! Thanks for sharing.

Very nice! I'd like a Ty Cobb back.

Thank you, and don't overlook the Cal Ripken right below the part in Honus's hair!

Looks good. Is this a first attempt at using cut up cards to make art? Do you have your next project planned?

This is my fourth piece. I'm working on a football one right now but my next baseball project is going to be a 1976 Topps Nolan Ryan made entirely from Nolan Ryan cards. I've been gathering mid 80's to mid 90's Nolan cards for the last few months and I'm up to about 2000 which should be enough.

I always wanted to see a cut card piece made up solely from the copies of the card itself, but I know that's difficult when you need a large amount of specific colors. One made entirely of the player it represents would be cool too, so I'm interested to see how that comes out

There are lots of Ryan fans, me being one too, so that will be cool to see. Nice job on this one too.

Thanks Leon, I expect I'm a month or two out on the Nolan but I will share it when it is completed.
