Hi, I'm looking for opinions on the authenticity of this signed Babe Ruth ball. Any help offered is very much appreciated ...

Thanks for all the replies. I posted it for a friend who owns an antique shop in town. A guy came in the other day with this ball and a lengthy story about how his father got the ball as a kid. I guess it was all a load a B.S.

The story may partially be true.
I have had a number of items offered to me over the years with a "family story" behind the item. Many times a father will "forge" an item to impress his family with no real intent to make money from the item.
