"My grandpa was a mlb player also he was the greatest catcher ever in the 50's during the legendary Jackie Robinson, his name was Yogi Berra."

And... this picture was taken by my wife... Morgan Fairchild.... Yeah. That's the ticket!

Should I be concerned that the guy's posted ebay id photo is Borat?

prewarsports 09-14-2009 11:40 AM

So wouldn't this persons story mean that Babe Ruth was Yogi Berras Great Uncle?

GoldenAge50s 09-14-2009 11:42 AM

Now that you mention it, the Babe & Yogi DO resemble each other--it's possible Babe was Yogi's father!

D. Bergin 09-14-2009 11:49 AM

LOL!!!!! :D

Where the f*#k is Kevin Bacon in that story?

I think if you actually followed the family tree as this guy described it...............Yogi might be The Babe's father.

After further study of the photo, I have discovered the following critical facts:

1. The photo appears to be Type 3.5, meaning a reproduction of a print of a copy of an original.

2. The extreme rarity and COA Given with the photo is simply mindbogglin

3. The big one, this could be the ONLY signed Ruth Photo with a Young Yogi Berra EXTANT.

4. BID BID BID and SNIPE SNIPE SNIPE.:p

If this one isn't amusing enough, he's also selling Jackie Robinson's "original" retirement letter to the Giants and a secret D-Day map ...

The D-Day map closed today and the "buyer" left positive feedback 2 MINUTES LATER!!!

We might not be dealing with a rocket scientist here.

I love that in the picture story the seller's grandpa is Yogi Berra and in the Robsinson letter story the seller grandpa was sad when Jackie retired becuase the grandpa looked up to Jackie and was "little" when Jackie retired. So i quess the really amazing part of this is that in 1957 Yogi Berra was just a little Kid :)

Reminds me of one of those IQ brain teasers. "Say you have two great grandmothers, and one of their mother's sister's sons is traveling East on a train at 20 miles per hour .... "
