Regardless of the condition, those are a couple of great finds!

I am pleased to see a PSA 2 just sold last night for $50k. That seemed to be the first one that sold in a while from what I have noticed.

Since we are all bumping some items. Currently around $4k. Pretty good deal compared to the Heritage ticket for $54k.

Full Koufax World Series tickets

Hi all, I have been reducing my collection of tickets and thought thread members may want to pick up one of my Koufax full tickets to his World Series games up for auction at The Memorabilia Network auction, which closes tonight. Lots 75-81. The auction isn't as established as others and thought it may not be on everyone's radar.

Thanks Guy. After 30 years of collecting I decided to start letting some items go. Hanging on to the Koufax no-hitter tickets however.

Thanks, Marty

Picked this up on eBay. I think at a great price.

Obviously a controversial feat and player...but a helluva moment in the game's history.

I agree, here are my tickets from the entire 5 game home stand that I picked up with the help of this sign...

He hit #60-61-62 during those games, and my ticket to #61 included free hotdogs and soda thru the 6th inning

I own this authentic (not commemorative) ticket from the first Field of Dreams game, 2021. I'd love to also acquire a ticket from the 2022 game (Cubs vs. Reds). If anyone has an example and is willing to part with it, please PM me, thanks!

1915 St. Louis Terriers Federal League Ticket

3 Attachment(s)
I'm thrilled to have been able to add this 1915 St. Louis Terriers Federal League ticket to my advanced no-hit ticket collection.
IMHO, the ticket is in remarkable condition for 109 years old.

This ticket could be used to gain entrance to either Frank Allen or Dave Davenport's Federal League no-hit games on April 24th, 1915 or September 7th, 1915 which were both pitched in St. Louis.

Frank Allen is the gent on the top, Dave Davenport is the gent on the bottom

Montreal Expos 1st Triple Play of franchise history

1 Attachment(s)
On June 25, 1969 At Parc Jarry, The Montreal Expos pulled off the second triple play of the major league season and first in their history Wednesday night in the second inning of their second game with the St. Louis Cardinals. Jim (Mud Cat) Grant singled to open the inning and Curt Flood walked. Vada Pinson then lined to first baseman Boh Bailey who stepped on first and threw to Bobby Wine at second to complete the triple play.

Guy & Scott - if I ever do a baseball trip around the continent (like how I did that Guy?) I want to include each of your collections on my itinerary, please.

How is this 1915? Did the team only exist for one year? I dont see a date on the ticket at all. Maybe i am missing something

The team existed for two years, 1914 and 1915. They were 62-89 in 1914 and 87-67 in 1915.

Shoeless Moe 03-16-2024 03:24 PM

That President on the ticket was only the Team President for 1 year so easy to date it with that.

Hi Guy,
I love the El Presidente El Perfecto inscription! ;)
FYI, Gardner's ticket is pretty challenging in of itself, but a full ticket is even more rare.

HOF Bob Feller's 3rd no-hitter

1 Attachment(s)
I recently completed this HOF Bob Feller framed project related to his historic 3rd no-hitter.

When Feller achieved this lofty achievement in 1951, he joined only pitchers Larry Corcoran (D-1891) and Cy Young (D-1955) in the 3 no-hit club.
It should be noted that in the 75 years since, Sandy Koufax (4 no-hitters), Nolan Ryan (an unparalleled 7 no-hitters) and Justin Verlander (3 no-hitters) are also included in this exclusive no-hit HOF.

It features a scarce fully-dated ticket stub to his 3rd no-hitter on July 1, 1951, a signed celebration photo, a Hollreiser This Day In Baseball newspaper comic related to the game and a Feller memorial patch that was worn by the 2011 Cleveland Indians after Feller passed at 92 on December 10, 2010.

Enjoy!

Thanks Jeff!

I have quite a few in my home office where I spend much of my time.
Also, the stairwell to the basement is about 95% saturated at this point.
Honestly, my completed framed projects are nearing an end game.
I'm happy that I've been able to complete and hang several collections that have simply been conceptual projects for years...

It's nice to complete what you envision. ;) As a collector, it doesn't get much better than that IMHO...

Not the most prestigious Expos franchise record.... on June 7th 1969 The Expos ran its losing streak to 20 games, three more than the former mark for a new team and just three short of the modern major league record. The 1969 Expos were not a good team but boy did we love them!!!

August 22nd, 1977 KC- Morganna "the Kissing Bandit" runs on the field to smooch George Brett for the first time. She would also get him at the 1979 All Star Game. I could not find a photo of this one but there are many from the ASG. Later that year George would visit a club where Morgana was dancing and go on stage to kiss her!

New pickups On May 3, 1980, Willie McCovey of the San Francisco Giants hits the final home run of his Hall of Fame career. McCovey hits his 521st home run against Scott Sanderson of the Montreal Expos, helping the Giants to a 3-2 win. His shot ties him with Ted Williams on the all-time list. McCovey will enter the Hall of Fame in 1986.
