1938 Washington Senators Cutouts

Hi-

Does anyone have any idea what these were cut from? I only ask because they came out of a scrapbook that was filled with mutilated 1930s cards (including a bunch of 35 Goudeys skinned and cut in four pieces). They are blank backed. I am guessing either a team premium or program insert?

Thanks in advance,
Alan

I would say they came from a Spalding baseball guide

If glossy, your mystery Senators are cut from a Goudey R309-2 premium; if a matte finish, they are cut from Puzzle No. 9 on the backs of 1935 Goudey 4-on-1s (R321), which were available to some as uncut 12-card sheets with intact puzzles on back.

Thanks guys! Bob, you got it perfectly as they are glossy. I really appreciate the help!
