Henry Yee auction winnings

So Henry Yee's auction just completed.
Did anybody else win anything? Show what you got!

Here my two wins.

Lou and Mel prior to 1936 WS.
I got it because I have a pair of sequential shots of Gehrig's swing prior to the Series. I also know there is a similar pair of sequential shots of Ott's swing taken at the same time. I figure they all probably came from the same shoot done as publicity for the upcoming series. If I can aquire the Ott pics, I'll have them all framed together.

Lou from 1938 WS. Interesting as he wasn't known to be an arguer. Also interesting as handwritten on back is "Umpire Moriarty", but in the clipping from the paper it says "Umpire Moran"

As I recall, the Ott 4 that you mentioned were actually printed sequenced out of order.

Matt,
That could be.
I saw them in a previous Henry Yee auction, but I didn't realize what they were until it was too late. They sold for only $88:(:(
I didn't really inspect them well. Also instead of across the sequence went top to bottom

Unfortunately, the one item that I was interested in (Bob Feller Rookie Year Photo) was way too pricey for me.

I'm very happy to have added a scored scorecard from Koufax's third no-hitter to my collection. I thought that it went cheap, considering what the prices of some items do in Henry's auctions.

When it arrives, I will have 60 different Koufax scored scorecards, including one other no-hitter and 21 other victories. I'm still bummed that I missed out on a scorecard from his first career victory last fall on ebay.

I also have 23 other no-hitter scorecards.

I'm always looking for scored scorecards, any team, any year, the older the better.

Since completing the "Pre-War Room", I'm turning to more modern stuff...

Henry always seems to feature a good assortment of Type 1 photos by Malcolm Emmons. I consider Emmons the greatest post-war sports photographer. He's also the one I remember most as a kid, as his photos were used to make most of the Sports Illustrated Posters during that incredible mid to late '60s era.

You can usually tell an Emmons image immediately... they're just classic and beautifully composed photos. I only won 4 this time, but the Gibbie shot was the one I was really after... so I was thrilled to win it. I thought the Denny McLain was a killer shot as well...

I bought this one from Hyee. I love the smiles on all of the faces. The kids are thrilled and they made the Hammer happy. Great shot in old County Stadium on 5/22/60. Hank went 1 for 3 with a walk and one RBI that day. The kicker for me..they beat the rival Cubs!
