JSA turnaround time

I submitted an autograph to JSA at the National, now nearly 5 weeks ago. I have yet to receive JSA's conclusion. In response to my e-mail JSA advises that they "are working on it and are trying to come to a conclusion" but declines to provide an estimate as to when this process will be completed. Has anyone else had similar experiences?

Sometimes it's takes them a while. Since you submitted your item at the National, I am going to assume they had tons of submissions. Sooner or
later, you get their analysis. Hopefully, they will not get sloppy on your
LOA.

Checkout the thread below that I submitted a few months ago.

Jsa

We submitted one (signed exhibit card) in June at a store Jim was at and it took over 2 months to find out if they approved it. I was going to get it slabbed but they sent it to SCG who said they couldn't do it because there was too much of an explanation they would have to include and then they were going to ship to beckett but they weren't sure if Beckett would slab so I asked for just a full letter LOA. Finally I got it back with the letter but it was a very frustrating experience- my first and probably last

I would guess that they first review "priority" customers; those who have submitted a large amount of autographs or very valuable autographs. For those who submit one here or there, I would guess those items are at the bottom of the pile

The problem in my case, I think, is that the autograph (Bobby Fischer) is not clearly good or bad, perhaps complicated by a limited number of exemplars. In such cases, JSA's experts apparently meet as a group every couple weeks to try and reach consensus. My disappointment is that the process is not regularized, such that JSA could advise when I might expect to receive its conclusion.

There are quite a few Bobby Fischer signed checks around for comparison sake along with other known examples. Was able to locate this one in 30 seconds. I would have been able to find it and post it sooner if I would have put my socks on and typed with my fingers instead..:)

Any idea what a check goes for?
