That's really quite good, but the one I had in mind works without changing the pronunciation.

Hint -- think of names of Commissioners.

Very disappointed that #419 has not been revealed yet. A respected board member is on life support since failing to solve it. If you can provide the answer, or question if you will, you will save a life. Thank you in advance.:D

I'm losing my oxygen over this one. Not even a clue.:(

Oh my god, liv is a roman numeral. What a dolt I am. But I was trying to find a baseball player.

barrysloate 04-21-2019 04:14 AM

Here are two non-baseball:

1) Toilet bucolic expanses

2) Irish Jewish crank (hint: spelling counts)

Nope - looking for a nickname for the Union general’s barber, or maybe that barber’s scissors.
Baseball-related

The story of Burnside and the origin of the term sideburns was something I did not know.

Now I’m ready for Jeopardy.

But you have to know who the recent headliner is, and that could be anybody. If bow wow wow is the clue then maybe Snoop Dog, but that makes no sense.

Nobody got my two- the first one should be easy but the second is almost impossible.

Bow wow wow is a clue to the Commissioner one. Think of a song.
And no you should be able to get this one from the last name. Think about it, how would you call someone a dog?

Peter_Spaeth 04-21-2019 05:59 PM

WC Fields by the way.

barrysloate 04-21-2019 06:25 PM

Fields is correct.
