Mile High Auction

I was interested, if not surprised, to see the '33 Goudey 149 Ruth PSA8 fetch nearly 115K in Mile High's last auction. Is this any kind of AH record for this card?

Ouch

A couple recent sellers lost big when trying to resell their cards a year later. $24k and $47k losses at hammer price. Actual losses much higher

assuming money changed hands on the first sale...i havent seen anyone admit to a 20-40k loss in a year on a card on net54 when the loss just occurred....and we know many of these big purchases are from net 54s......

Why would someone just come forward with that info? If it were my card I would keep quiet and not want to talk about it.

Agreed. I'd be curious to see the last transactions before these. More likely the card sold for $80k, then a fake sale at $140k then a real sale at $100k. The original owner makes $20k and the new owner/"sucker" thinks he got a great deal.

well they can take the loss on their taxes....and can say made X amount more on another deal..so they can spin it a lot of ways

Point being we have never verified any of these losses...whether there is a good reason or not why no one has come forward to verify if theses sales are actually real...the fact a 75k card is being sold twice in a year does happens but still is suspicious

It’s real. That’s all I’m gonna say. Elvis has left the building.
