I believe you will hear the words "banana Mantle" at least once in this thread:D

That's a beautiful forgery

Actually, the Banana Mantles have a narrower loop under the M. This one is not "banana" shaped enough.

This is the forgery style sold in mass quantities by B&J Collectibles of NJ in the 90s and early 2000s.

Just as fake as a banana Mantle, but if we want to get technical, it is a different forger. :D

Agree its just like the B&J Collectables I have seen...except this one is really bad IMO the 2 "M'"s are horrible....even I can see that...

B&J Collectibles,, the same company that Steve Rocchi (when he was with PSA) made a deal with to "authenticate" as witnessed in person Joe DiMaggio signatures when they were not witnessed by PSA and were totally bogus.
The owner of B&J Collectibles used to walk around at card shows in NY trying to sell those old records of Mantle and other players (the entire record pictured the player, I don't know the name of the issue). When he did this he looked like a poor lost soul begging dealers to give him a few dollars for this warehouse find of virtually unmovable records. All of a sudden he became a big shot in the autograph business. An overnight loser.

horribly forged signature on a horrible ugly worst of the worst Mantle poses.

That is a $10.00 photo right there. AND if you buy it for 10.00 you are -10.00.

Hope that sums it up for you!
