OT: Card Saver Problems

Am I the only idiot on this forum who doesn't know how to put a card inside a Card Saver 1? Whenever I am sliding the card in, about half way the damn thing snaps shut on it! I just feel like ripping the card in half when that happens!

Any advice? Videos?

Thank you

Same happens to me - that's why I don't like them. Have only ever used them the few times I submitted cards for grading and it was more stressful than fun. Too much pressure or too little results in the early snap, but I couldn't figure out how to find the sweet spot.

That is standard, IMO. If it's snapping and actually putting a dent in the card surface, you're probably opening the lip way too wide. I actually relax the grip on the side of the cardsaver once the card is in about an inch and centered in the holder, then just push it down from the top edge. But I also penny sleeve all my cards, so the lip of the cardsaver touching the surface doesn't hurt the card.

I have used them for years with zero issues.
