Re-stabbing from SGC to PSA

I have these cards I picked up that I would like to send to PSA for grading for my registry set. I have heard that the best way to do this is to break them out of their slabs before sending them in. Is this correct? What are the chances they convert over and keep the 8? There are no issues with the backs on either.

When taking a stab at it with another TPG, as far as I know, it is best to crack the card out from the current holder/grader then resubmitting the card raw.

I am sure there are exceptions, but based on what I have read, usually the new TPG grades the card(s) one graded lower, at least.

I send three SGC graded cards in for crossover. PSA graded them the same as SGC, 8, 8 and 9.

Try in the holder first.

Here's a couple of my crossover attempts. I cracked out the last grouping (6/29) mainly because I was only sending a couple and didn't want to have to pay additional return shipping, since I put them in my monthly special order.
