VCP question

Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

Does VCP show the scan along with the eBay item number?

Thanks

In many cases yes, you can click on a scan. But not in all cases and I think there may be some date cutoff where they drop the scans but I'm not sure. Most of the time I have gone back to look at the last few ebay sales there are scans you can click on. Which is very helpful. See sample page below. Didn't copy well but you'll get the idea.

It also depends on the level of service you pay for. If you opt for the lowest level of service, VCP gives you links to the last few ebay items sold, but you can only see what is still up on ebay.

I signed up for a month...very nice info. Seems I tend to buy high sell low. ;)

Larry, VCP is real good, especially if you get the primo subscription. But make sure you do look at the scans, especially with t206 rare backs, as every now and then they may have a cycle listed under Hindu, or Tolstoi under another back etc. in other words, at least with t206, it may file the card in the wrong place. I also encourage you to look at all the sales - a single high or low sale will scew the average

Agreed. I usually take the middle value of the last 5, as long as the dates are within the last 2 years or so. A quick eye-balling does wonders. As a side note, it is interesting to see the Mastro Auction results if they are listed. They pop up quite often.

Silver Membership will only get you eBay links for the last 90 days. Beyond that, you're out of luck for any pictures.

Gold Membership will get you all saved pictures from the listings dating back as far as 10+ years.

I am amazed at the sales for most of the high end cards, both vintage and 50's & 60's. I started becoming more active in collecting in late '15 so I saw the spike last summer. It seems that 25-50% of the sales have happened in the last year+ even though some cards are back close to the pre-spike level.
