Ruth auto on ebay

This one looks good to me but not sure. Guy said its been in his family for years (heard that a few times). Look good?

The "a" is a little funky, but it's good. Great looking signature actually.

The penmanship on the return envelope is outstanding!

Nice bold sig

Just got the results back from psa quick opinion...came back "likely not genuine"

Bpm0014 04-07-2016 12:01 PM

I stand behind my opinion 100% that it's genuine. As stated earlier, the "a" in "Babe" is open and is kind of atypical, but it looks like the ink on the pen was running out. Again, I stand behind my opinion and I'm 100% confident that it is genuine. Had I been in the market, I would most certainly have no problem buying this...

Even at $5,000. 00? Thats what it is on ebay.

If it's fake I have no problem admitting this one would've fooled me too...guess I still have lots of learning to do.

JoeyFarino 04-07-2016 04:54 PM

I did one more opinion and same thing...if i send it to psa now im sure they wont authenticate it

Bpm0014 04-07-2016 05:30 PM

I still stand behind it being real. After closely examining it a little more, I guess you could say that the crossing of the "t" is a little different, but still genuine. No disrespect to anyone, but it's easy to come on here and give an opinion AFTER it came back from PSA... Beating a dead horse, but it's legit.

No disrespect taken, Brendan.

By the way, I opined that "Ruth" to a fellow member yesterday when I first read this post and went through my exemplars on "Ruth" sigs penned by that person.

Thank you. If anyone is to be trusted it is you. I'd love to know what gives it away? Is it the crossing of the "t"?? Genuine Ruth's are usually faded on the left (and this isn't). Is that it? I mean...I still feel that this is legit...but I would love to pick your brain on this one. Although I think that I am spot on when it comes to Ruth, I still respect your opinion.

I "Thank you" for your nice comment, Brendan.

Brendan, it is impossible to "pick my brain" when it comes to autographs.

I am not technical at all; I've been criticized a ton because of my method of opining autographs-I simply use my "trained eye" and it works for me.

99.99% of the time when I look at an autograph, I know immediately whether it's authentic or not.

It's how I do it and it works for me.

I also want to add, that I don't opine in public nearly as often as I used to...

Just not much in the mood these days, but I do enjoy finding autographs that I have never had time to search for in the past.

Makes collecting much more enjoyable these days.

Chris,

I know that I probably speak for others when I say that I am always grateful when you share your opinion...you're a trusted and valued source of information!

Andrew
