1931 Cardinal Ray Cunningham

I typically collect specific autographs of various teams, two being the 1931 and 1934 Cardinals. This might just be me, but one of the hardest to find for sell or just plain examples of is 1931 Cardinal Ray Cunningham. Cunningham died in 2005 so you would think there were plenty of examples of his autograph so I was wondering what's the story (if any) with him? Why is his so hard to find or is it just me?

I don't collect the 31 team, (I am almost done with the 34 team though) so I'm not real familiar with him. I did some digging, and I couldn't find anything to indicate he wouldn't sign, etc. I did find a single signed ball on ebay (JSA authenticated for what that's worth) for a fairly reasonable price considering he's hard to find.

I just finished the 1934 team, players anyway as I dont have Branch Rickey yet... but do have a nice Doc Weaver (trainer) thanks to prewarsports.

I have seen that baseball on ebay and that is the only Cunningham I have seen for sale, would like to see some other examples of his...like I said maybe I have just been unlucky in locating

Did you also get Sam Breadon, the owner? I will sometimes get a trainer, traveling sec, etc, but I've been on the fence about Doc Weaver. That will probably be a game time decision when I get around to matting and framing.

No I have not, been focused on the players...but I see that about 18 months ago someone had 3 Sam Breadon signed contracts for sale on here...and wouldt you know it one was a 1931 Ray Lee Cunningham signed contract signed Lee Cunningham!

Well that sucks, LOL. The bright side is that you have a nice exemplar of his sig. Also, you might check with that seller to see who purchased them, and maybe they might be want to sell the Cunningham. There's always hope.
