500+ brooklyn dodger stubs & programs ending TONIGHT 8/3/17 - Clean Sweep Auctions!

This is a paid advertisement.

So after buying the new house a few months ago, funds got tight temporarily which forced me to throw my Jackie Robinson Ticket and Program colleciton up for auction. Steve and I chose to divide the programs and stubs up by year. There will be a lot of 1947 Stubs all the way to 1956 stubs and the same goes for the programs. For your convenience I have provided links.

Not often do you see this many stubs/programs come to the market at once.

WOW, when I sold u the pin display you drooled about how u wanted it for your Jackie pin collection. Now it's up for auction. My opinion is u grab items just to make money. Why not tell people ur intention's in the first place.

I was collecting everything Robinson. I am selling most of it as inneed funds. I've kept this over a year. How could you say I bought it to make money? I paid you ALOT for it and I'm probably gonna lose on the item. I was trying to obtain every program and stub from every jackie game, every card and pin. I narrowed my interest to just Robinson home run and stolen base stubs and psa 7 and up major release robinsons. Next time please PM me rather than wrongfully accusing me of something publicly. I tell people straight up when I'm buying to resell. Many people here can attest to that.

Best of luck with all your lots,
Doug

Who cares what he does with it after buying it from you. Everything gets sold eventually, chill out.

almost over

ibuysportsephemera 08-04-2017 04:37 AM

Stephen,

My guess is that you are disappointed with the results of the program lots BUT thrilled with the final prices of the tickets?

Jeff

amen !!

Absolutely. This is a market place to some and a museum to some and both to others.

I would suggest perhaps that the seller step back and give some more thought to what he's doing. If you accumulate hundreds of things (maybe thousands?) in a manic whirlwind and then all of a sudden have to sell all of them in a fire sale, many presumably at a loss . . . well, might be time to take a few deep breaths and ease off the throttle a bid. When I started collecting I did something very similar. Overpaid for a lot of cards out of some misguided belief that I needed to move really fast. Now realize it cost me a lot of money. Same things I rushed to buy are for sale now.

EYECOLLECTVINTAGE 08-04-2017 07:26 AM

Any money I lost was worth the chase!

jb217676 08-04-2017 07:32 AM

Looks like you did well on those stubs, I had no idea they would go for that much!

Good attitude. I've been doing this awhile. I remember way back in the day when I lost money on my first card. I had been doing it a year. Everything I touched turned to gold. Then I lost money....I was like....what can it be?? What did I do wrong. That seems like an eternity ago. Now I lose money on cards all the damn time. It happens.

Leon 08-04-2017 07:40 AM

Deals- If you aren't ever losing money you aren't doing enough deals!! I lose on every sale but make up for it in volume.

Just write the losses off as a business expense and say the tickets was from your personal collection.:)

Snapolit1 08-04-2017 07:48 AM

I've lost my fair share as well. Prob. 2/3 of the cards I've sold I sold for less than my cost. Sucks but is part of collecting. Learned the hard way that a card is worth what someone will give you for it; not the inflated price someone is asking for on eBay.

doug.goodman 08-04-2017 08:40 PM

If anybody here bought the 1955 Program lot, I would like to figure out a way to get the July 23 game from you. Buy it, trade for it, other.

It's a Koufax no decision. He pitched 2 innings (didn't start) allowed 2 runs (both earned) and had zero strikeouts.

I collect Koufax games, my current count is 204 of his 397 career regular season games.

Thanx,
Doug
