Can anyone help identify this Mays card?

What does the back look like?

Yes, that would help. It's a blank back.

Looks like something cut out of a book or periodical, like a Who's Who's or similar.

It's made of a solid card stock.

I was thinking the same thing or a 1957 yearbook...

These have been mentioned on this forum in earlier years.

They are definitely cobbled-together pieces made by gluing part of a magazine page to cardboard backing. If you don't believe it, toss them into a pan of water.

Years ago, at a Pittsburgh show, if I recall correctly, Alan Rosen bought several hundred of the concoctions.

Thanks again for the information.
This doesn't surprise me. The card is very sturdy and shows little wear to it. Still a newbie to this board, so didn't see any of the earlier posts and wouldn't have know what to search under.

I agree with the above responders.

Years ago, when I was in High School, I used to make my own "cards" like that just for fun, cutting up Baseball Registers, or Baseball Guides, or pictures from Sports Illustrated.

I've still got a bunch somewhere.
