Need Help - '62 Topps Curt Flood Blank Back
Posted By: jeffdrum
I have a 1962 Topps Curt Flood blank back and was wondering if anyone could help as to the likely origin of the card. Are these pretty common printing anomalies? It may have been cut from a sheet as it is slightly (I mean slightly) short when stacked with my other '62s, or then again it may just be trimmed or short. Any help would be appreciated.

Jeff
Need Help - '62 Topps Curt Flood Blank Back
Posted By: boxingcardman
I pulled two blank backed 1971s from packs as a kid. Still have them. So they do get out there from Topps. If yours seems off, though, odds are it was printing scrap that walked out the door or out of the trash bin. Still an interesting piece for people specializing in printing anomalies or scraps.

http://imageevent.com/exhibitman/freaksandgeeks

Sic Gorgiamus Allos Subjectatos Nunc

Need Help - '62 Topps Curt Flood Blank Back
Posted By: Dave Williams
I've got a 62 Roebuck with a blank back.

The card front says only Roebuck, no first name, team, or position.

The brown borders also have a bit of an orange tint, and the back cardboard is lighter in color.
