Babe Ruth musical bat and Red Sox pin?

I was doing some organizing and I came across these but I don't remember
where I got them. Attachment 331407 Attachment 331408 Attachment 331409 Attachment 331410 The only information I found on the bat is two past auctions. http://jul12.hugginsandscott.com/cgi...l?itemid=47057 http://kevinsavagecards.com/1927__Ba...LOT336953.aspx I'm pretty sure what I have is probably replica souvenirs that I purchased at Cooperstown or the Babe Ruth Museum but if the bat is a replica I don't see any difference in the one I have and the two that sold in the auctions. The bat measures 3 7/8 inches. I would appreciate any information. Thanks, Patrick |
The Babe Harmonica Bat is authentic, and is worth about $150, in my opinion. It would be closer to (or just above) $200, if not for the heavy wear to the air chambers.
The Pin is from American Nut & Chocolate, and worth around $20. Here's one currently on eBay... https://www.ebay.com/itm/1950s-Vinta...ukE-:rk:1:pf:0 Hope this helps. |

It does thank you Mark. I can't remember where I got them but I must have purchased them together because the bat and pin were in the bag in the first picture I posted. Back in 1987-88 a local card shop used to have auctions on Saturday nights so I think I might have picked them up there and I think the 128 on the bag is probably a lot#. |
Makes sense...
I'd estimate that I've forgotten where I bought/acquired/traded for at least 1/4 of the items in my collection. Maybe even one third. Too many years of collecting, and it's all now blurring together. :o |
