I am being offered these two bats.
Supposedly game used Pee Wee Reese and Gene Hermanski.
If they are legit what would be an estimated value.
Thoughts please.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Definitely game used the hal reese pre 1950 most likely worth about five to six thousand Gene hermanski I'm not sure about but I know it's game-used probably worth 1000 I could be off on that one

I think you could be wrong. Unlike your bat, the one posted is only 34 inches long. So it doesn't show up in Reese's shipping records. Which hurts the value.

Brock I'm sorry you are correct mine was 34 and a half which was in his shipping records I didn't realize his said 34

Brock where does he say 34" long. Thx

Brock is correct - it's index at 34". Still a nice bat tho

I have been PM with a couple of members. The seller told me the Reese bat is 34" and the Hermanski is 34 1/2". The conclusion seemingly is that the Reese bat is an index bat (I did not even know what that meant until this thread ).

Make sure he measures the reese twice. Mine was supposedly 34 and when I got it ,it was 34 1/2".

He did measure it twice, at my request, and sent me a photo of the Reese and hermanski bat side by side. You can see that the Hermanski bat is slightly longer and he said that Hermanski is 34 1/2.

Oh well. Still nice bats for the right price. Good luck.
