Just wow. Terrible.

What's really funny is that if he advertised them as new decorative items he would probably get the asking price easily. Maybe not 10 for the Cobb plastic box, but the 25 for the Wagner "cigar box" wouldn't be all that crazy.

I guess it's not false advertising if something printed last week can be called vintage?

I don't mind seeing junk like this listed but just be honest and call it what it is.

In this case 'Vintage' is to be considered the Age of Vint, which we all know just ended last month.

Brian (man, am I on a roll or what?)

Price bump

Wasn't this listed for $50 obo initially? Now it's at $150.00 obo....

yanksfan09 09-19-2017 08:47 PM

Lol, Maybe it was all the page views it got from this post.

But, hey 50 bucks was basically giving it away. I don't know how it wasn't snatched up sooner?

LMAO....that might be the absolute worst card holder I have ever seen. Is there any chance at all that your card wouldn't be damaged?

.

States that it's a modern reproduction in the cigar box listing.

And then turns around and calls his PVC container "pre-WWII." Burdick used a ton of PVC containers, as well as those cool "Rookie Card" top loaders.

I am not sure our Grandfathers in card collecting had progressed to understanding the material in the holders could cause damage generations later. I get a chuckle out of some really, really yellow and brittle PVC type holders still in use. I see them frequently. As for the seller in the original post, he is a maroon...
