1927 World Series Program

A few months ago we were cleaning out my Grandfather's stuff, and we found this. I currently have it down in Maryland, but I will be driving up to Connecticut in 2 days. I was hoping to learn a little bit more about it, potential value and how I should go about either selling it or storing it.

27 is a very desirable program. In that condition, I'd say 1000 to 1500, unless the inside is missing pages or damaged.

There are cardboard backers and soft sleeves these fit in or you can get an oversized plastic sleeve. They are delicate so you do want to be careful when handling it

A couple people have sent me PM's... It has all of the pages still intact. The box score section is not filled out, but my grand father did note how many runs were scored each inning, who the winning and losing pitchers where, and what game it was (game 1).

Does anyone know if these programs picturing the managers on the cover were available in both NY and Pittsburgh?

This is the Yankees' edition. Whilst it is a very nice and sought after program, the Pirates' program is considerably rarer - it was printed on low quality paper and presumably less were printed so fewer have survived the decades.

Store it in a dark, dry place with a covering that is acid free. If you don't mind waiting to sell it, contact REA for their next auction, in about a year. Best auction house to deal with.
