National League Baseball Passes given to Bert Bell

Posted By: Keith
Wanted to pick the brains of the autograph guys on the board here. I picked up these 3 passes in a larger group of ephemera that came from the Bert Bell estate. The three consist of 2 National League baseball passes given to Bert Bell, and 1 NFL pass that Bert Bell gave to his son (who later worked for the Colts. The NFL pass is signed by Bert Bell, and the 1946 baseball pass is signed by Ford Frick, and the 52 signed by Warren Giles. The baseball passes each come with a National Baseball League leather wallet. I wanted to get opinions on the Frick and Giles signatures. First with the recent conversations about stamped signatures, just wanted to make sure these are real autographs. Also, do the Frick and Giles signatures have much value in themselves? Most of the value from my collecting standpoint is that they belonged to Bert Bell, but was curious.

thanks guys,
KJ

My collection:

http://s52.photobucket.com/albums/g5/jacklitsch1/Season%20Passes/

My impression is that most passes are printed from a master originally signed by the officers. Once printed the names of the holders are then hand written in. Without having the passes in hand it is difficult to tell whether they are original signatures. But once in hand I would think you could tell pretty readily.
