Posted By: Lee Behrens
Which sets have actual documentation from the company they were produced by? Or is all the data we have about the sets from research & speculation with facts?

Exxample, Is there evidence from the American Tobacco Co. that the T206s were produced and distributed from 1909-1911, is it possible they were still produced in 1912.

Posted By: cmoking
Don't know if this is what you are looking for: the 1933 Goudey, 1934 Goudey and 1933 Sports Kings (really a 1934 set, not 1933) have documentation from the U.S. Copyright Office. For more info: Mile High is auctioning off a SK lot, and REA recently auctioned off some the 33 and 34 Goudeys.

Posted By: davidcycleback
In 1911 the Federal Government broke up the American Tobacco Company, the issuer of the T206s, and the American Tobacco Company quit making baseball cards. Does this prove that a T206 was not stuck in a pack in January 1912? No, but it is how the 1909-11 card dating was derived.

There is a lot of documentation about the tobacco companies, their business and advertising practices and legal disputes.
