Ticket Display Pieces

Does anybody have any cool ticket display pieces? Like framed 500 game tickets or 3000 hit tickets. If so let's see them!

My turn of the century Army football items with Army-Navy tickets (1899,1908,1910), photos, and hand drawn plays from Coach Charles Daly (1913).

Here is how I display some of my 3,000 hit and 500th HR tickets.
This is a ticket display wall that I had someone make for me. I like it...

Cool topic Ron and very cool displays Scotty/Scott. Would love to see more from others. I have dozens of tickets but they are sprinkled throughout my displays in various ways.

I only have one ticket stub on display. Got it at an auction many years ago for $20. I don't think anyone else there knew what it was.

I love ticket displays! I used to watch the catalog auctions and saw people selling sets of tickets and the prices weren't doing so well. I thought, "why are these prices so low?" My theory was that if you buy a set of tickets what do you do with them? They are in top loaders and you can't hang them on the wall. So In 2000 I made my first display (500 homerun club) to sell at auction. It wasn't real fancy but I sold it for around $5000 ! Way higher then the stubs would have sold for by themselves. I made several since then... these are NOT the actual 500th homerun stubs but a single homerun by that player.

Ticket

Not to derail the conversation but, does anyone have a 1939 or 1941 Dodgers Opening Day preferably unused but a stub will work as well. Thanks

Great work Randall. Those look really good. Do you do them yourself or take them to a frame shop? what does the cost typically run you?

Lastly, I frame my tickets and programs with UV glass. I bought cheap frames from Walmart, but went to the frame shop and bought about 10 panes of UV glass cut to 8x10. I've seen some great displays ruin the ticket or program because the sunlight demolished the color. Amazing how fast it can happen too.

Thanks, I do them myself. I found out how much they charge to mat and frame stuff and nearly passed out. I figured I could do it myself and save a heap. its not so hard when you take your time. I've even graduated to circular cuts. the most expensive stuff is buying the mats. It may cost you $50 for a couple of large pieces to use. Like you said you can buy cheap frames at a lot of places. Good call on the UV glass if you are displaying in harsh light or even flourescent.

Hi Scott:
If I ever make it out to Ohio one day I would love to stop by and visit your museum. Your ticket collection is the emperor and gold standard of our hobby.Simply the best !
