I hate ebay. In fact, I hate selling stuff in general. Perhaps I will just declare everything I currently own to be my personal collection :)

Scott to your question I dont really like the authentication part of getting it "slabbed" but what I do like is I dont have to be so careful handling an item. Lord only knows when my drunk ass on a saturday wants to get something out to play with what will or would have happened if it wasn't encapsulated!!!:D:D:D:D

I have dumped coffee or wine on countless books, but Never a collectible. I always prepare a safe area/surface before taking anything out.

As a collector I don't like plastic other than toploaders for cards and bags for documents. But I understand the appeal.

For checks in particular, I prefer they be slabbed.....Not for authenticity so much, but more for the protection and the ability to stack, display, organize, etc.
