1945 Leister Game Co. Cards

Posted By: Kyle
Hi Everyone,

Do you consider 1945 vintage? I recently had 10 of the 1945 Leister Game Co. cards graded by SGC, with most coming back 84s and 86s, which is what I expected. I like the cards, and think they're fairly unique, but ofcourse they aren't as cool as some of the other 1940s sets.

Thanks,
Kyle

1945 Leister Game Co. Cards

Posted By: Eric
"Vintage" is loose term, which each collector has the benefit of determining for themselves. I call cards older then 1950 "vintage", but someone else might argue that it was 1910 or 1960. I have an SGC graded 86 Leister card of Babe Ruth & Joe DiMaggio, seen here: http://www.freewebs.com/goudeyhunter/warcards.htm
It't not the prettiest card to me, but I like it because it came out during World War II. Not many baseball cards were produced during the war..so I see it as somewhat of a rarity.
