Back from the National looking for hockey
So I am back from the National and missed the Net54 hockey guys. I was keeping my eye out for Blair and Jeff, but didn't see ya.
It was a reasonably disappointing show for vintage hockey options, in my opinion. Same dealers with same cards as previous shows and the prices were quite high even for the more common 51 Parkhurst set I am building. I didn't see one C56 in the whole show and I went through the show twice! I did meet a few new vintage hockey friends and was able to hold the C55 Vezina SGC 96 that was sold through Goodwin last year, so that was the treat of the show for me! I am heading to Toronto in November, so I hope I get to see/meet some people up there! |
Hi Bill,
Tried to make it this year but just didn't have the time. I'll see you in November at the Toronto Expo. I'll also be making the drive next year to Cleveland for the 2014 National! Jeff Did you find any Parkies? |
Hi Bill,
I wish I had been there, but could not make it this year. Sorry to hear the selection was not so good. Someone on the main forum posted a few pics that gave me the impression there might have been some cool pre-war hockey there, but the pics might have been of the few cards that showed up! :D I'm still gonna try to get to one of those Toronto Expos...never been to one, but I keep thinking about it! Cheers, Blair |

I have many parkhurst and topps cards from the 53-54 to 57-58. They are Parkhurst, Quaker Oats and Topps. I am trying to complete sets so I am always looking to trade. Drop me a line and maybe we can make a deal. These are my cards and they are typical for condition of my cards....I dont grade anything
