Possible Joe Jackson Photo Identity help requested (from GUF)

Not my thread or photo, but I thought I would post it here to see what folks thought.

My guess is it is him.

Joe ...

My guess is it is not him. The bridge of the nose looks to thick, with no slope like Joe's nose and to be honest it looks more like Tommy Lee Jones when he played Ty Cobb in the movie, Cobb. ;)

I often get them wrong.:(

wonkaticket 02-24-2011 09:46 AM

I would say it's a no Joe....IMO

milkit1 02-24-2011 10:21 AM

my wife thinks its him and she had no preconceived notions as to what Joe looked like. Im a little torn. How tall was Joe?

milkit1 02-24-2011 10:22 AM

oic he was 6'1 Well it could be?

rhettyeakley 02-24-2011 10:24 AM

IMO, it's not even really a very close match, and the blurriness of the photo is really bad--even if it were him it would be tough to confirm with that type of photo quality.

quinnsryche 02-24-2011 10:27 AM

My vote is....

no. Eyes and nose don't seem to match IMO.

Jacklitsch 02-24-2011 11:20 AM

Not him for all of the reasons heretofore expressed by those giving an opionion (except for Barry who must have been looking without his glasses on)

Shoeless Moe 02-24-2011 11:33 AM

Not a chance it's him.

Ladder7 02-24-2011 11:57 AM

Identical... Except for the ears and lack of an occiput.

fkw 02-24-2011 12:05 PM

Simple for me...
from the description, the photo says "1920" on the back.......then no way.

JJackson played 146 games for the Chicago White Sox in 1920.

it would be different if it said "1920's"

deadballera 02-24-2011 12:11 PM

Say it Ain't So Joe...

sorry, it doesn't look like him.

Peter_Spaeth 02-24-2011 12:30 PM
