Hey guys and guys (not sure we have any ladies but if we we do, hey to ya'll too)

I received an email from a person that found our site and is asking about info, value etc...of this game she has. Any help will be appreciated. thanks...

"The College Baseball Game by Parker Brothers. I have all pieces to my knowledge. Picture of game is attached."

Shows that it is from the 1890s and is valued at $650

Yet this site (http://www.thestrong.org/online-coll.../3/48/107.3708) says that it is from 1912 and has a receipt to back that up as a sale date.

Mark Cooper's book dates it to 1898, and values it in the $600-1000 range. It's on page 41 of the book.

Serious research done by the Baseball Hall of Fame for the exhibition of Mark's games there in 2008 strongly suggests 1906 as the original date of issue for The College Base Ball Game. It undoubtedly had a long shelf-life in the marketplace, so a 1912 sale is not inconsistent with a 1906 debut.

As for current market value, the game turns up for sale or auction pretty rarely, but the last one we know of, an example in only slightly lesser condition than the one shown above, went for $365. on eBay three years ago.
