Fake Autograph Sellers on Ebay

I'm not sure if such a thread has been on here before but after seeing the same sellers continue to pop up with, what IMO, tons of fakes for sale on eBay I thought it would be helpful to some on here to shed light on these sellers. Not necessarily accusing any of these sellers as fraudsters (could just be ignorance on what they have or, in all fairness, my own ignorance regarding the items I'm calling out). I like to look through multiple items for sale and if there are multiple fakes I plan to add them to the thread (not going to call out just one or two that I suspect are fake if there are a bunch of what seem to be authentic also sold by the same person. Leon, please feel free to delete this thread if it crosses any lines.

That being said, today I discovered a large amount of what I believe are fakes being sold through a seller known as cyssportsvault. Below is a Pete Rose currently for sale. He does have a mix of legitimate autos with obvious fakes currently for sale.

Though Rose's signature has changed somewhat over the years, the connection from the e to crossing the t in Pete is typically linear (in older signatures it could be concave at times). Also the inscription doesn't seem to line up with his handwriting.

Here is a Andre Dawson that looks like simply a very sloppy fake.

His stuff is all crap, even if he salts his listings with an occasional legit signature. Look at his signed cards. The first B in Bill Bonham is the same as the R in Robin Ventura. I believe Chuck calls them kitchen table forgers. This fornicating rectum is so incompetent that he would not even be allowed to sit at the kitchen table. He is probably sitting next to the dog bowl on the floor.

Haha, didn't even see the Ventura lol. My favorite curve ball of his is the Fergie Jenkins ball/card combo (link below)... I believe the ball to likely be legit with an obviously fake card as a sidekick... the marketing proves him to be genius by labeling the ball a rare 1/1 bloodstain piece lol. Alright, on to find more scammers!

Buyer beware (see link above).

I am editing this post to be more clear about my personal experience. When I started collecting autos I bought unslabbed “signed” 1972 Topps cards from the eBay seller discussed in the link. In my case, PSA found the signatures “Likely Not Genuine.”

That guys autographs are DISGUSTING FORGERIES. As Chris W says EBay does not filter out forgeries!!!!

I lost out on a Ventura Dodgers card. I only bid a few bucks anyways, but then I looked at his others and some were obviously terrible fakes (like the Dawson).

I deleted the couple other cards I was watching except for the Ken Boyer 69T. Want to see where that one ends. Would like to think it's real, but I am going to assume it is not. Not worth the risk with the other junk I can see, but as usual lots of items selling.

I just went back to see what else he was selling. WOW. I obviously didn't even take the time to look at first. The Boyer is terrible and I didn't see one that looked real even at a quick glance now. Still want to see how high Boyer ends up going for.

Thank you, Scott.

I've been exposing Ebay sellers of forgeries for over 15 years. I've probably posted 5,000 blogs/threads on them.

On any given day, there are hundreds of what I call "kitchen table" forgers.

These forgers/sellers take advantage of the fact that between 75% and 80% of the people who purchase autographs, buy forgeries.

And Ebay doesn't care. Ebay does not filter out forgeries and they no longer enforce their own "Banned COA List."

Below is a link to a blog I posted about Ebay.

Sorry to dig up an old post but this guy is so bad i had to share. Everything he has listed is fake and he's somehow not taking any type of communication via eBay. I reported him to eBay but surely nothing will happen. This guy should be locked up! eBay seller name is madmac2015.

See below for a few of his beauties! All in the same crappy worn out blue sharpie of course.

Every. Single. One. No legit autos mixed in there.

They are all trash.
