Help Identify NY Yankee Ticket Stub

2 Attachment(s)
I was going thru some NY Yankee scorecards that I recently purchased and a ticket stub fell out. The scorecard was from 1935 but I am trying to confirm whether the ticket stub is from the same year.

I am hoping that the experts out there can pinpoint the exact year of this ticket.

There is a thread on NEt54 that will help you identify the year. Sorry, I don't have time right now to search for you...but you should be able to find it pretty easily.

Good luck.

I would say the ticket is from 1933. Using the Yankees bleacher ticket guide on keymancollectibles.com, bleacher tickets were 55 cents between 1933 and 1943 but the specific year can be identified by a different letter printed under the game number. 1933 tickets either have the letter "A" or no letter like your ticket. Looking up home game 33, it was July 8th, Det 5 NY 2, and Ruth hit a 2B.

Ed Apologizes you are correct 1933 I thought not because I had pulled a few from a scrap book and they are vivid pink. but further research says 1933 is correct. Just pink color oxidized.

Bleacher tickets also had series letters. I know the dating guides are still works in progress but was following the guide here: http://keymancollectibles.com/ticket...erstubdate.htm

No worries, Jonathan. I just wish undated Phillies and Athletics tickets could be dated with equal accuracy. And kudos to David and the other experts for figuring out these Yankees tickets.

Thanks so much for the feedback. I looked at the guides earlier and also thought it was 1933. One thing threw me off was when it was mentioned that the ticket was pink. Mine didn't appear pink but as mentioned in one of the posts, it changed color due to oxidation.

Didn't expect that stub to fall out from one of the scorecards. I think I better look a little more carefully. Maybe, there is a Ruth autograph hidden in one of them.
