I will start off with a recently sold on Ebay 1941 Play Ball of Joe DiMaggighoul.

Brian (with an average Joe for comparison)

Hard to follow those, awesome cards!

Here’s an interesting one. I think its upside down and inverted Doc White Portrait, but hard to be sure

I think a lot of these Leaf Dom Dimaggio cards look a little like this, but this one struck me as sinister (a member posted this card on another thread). Here is your bug-eyed Dom.

Of course there is always Caspar, the upraised arms unfriendly E94 McGraw ghost, or whatever the heck this is.

I still think Ol' Gil here looks like a golf playing zombie.

Colton -- looks like it might be Boss Schmidt to me.

Y'all knew it was coming, but here's Hughie.

A well dressed golf playing zombie, that is.

Bryan, I originally thought the same, but I’ve since eliminated Boss as a possibility as his portrait is just too big and it doesn’t fit. I’m 98% sure it’s Doc White portrait, inverted

Jobu 04-22-2023 02:58 PM

I take it back, I took a closer look and I agree with your call on ol Doc.
:)

Looking like one of those portraits in a haunted house where the eyes follow you.

I don’t know, maybe a happy ghoul? Dracula plays baseball?

That E95 'painting' of Willis fits in well with the scenery of the room...could easily be in the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland.

Willis might have also been a vampire, as it appears there is blood coating his lower lip.

There are indeed happy ghouls, and ghouls can be Gygli too.

Nice damp evil Emil Leon. (all words in previous sentence are eerily 4 letters long...not to mention its ominous tongue twistiness)

And here is Harris being harassed by his own wet sheet backside.

You do use a lot of four letter words.

And something about “his own wet sheet backside” sounds perverse.

Damn my soul, it is true. And Harris is perverse on the reverse.
