What makes you believe it is a proof and not cut down from an uncut sheet?

Proofs

If it was from a proof sheet the back would often be blank or unfinished. If it has a regular back, it would more likely be a card cut square from a finished sheet.

There are also prototype cards, which differ from the actually issued cards in some way. The 84 Encased ( head in the box) set and 68 Deckle prototype sheets ( prototype for 69 Deckles ) are examples. They are usually blank backed as well

I guess "proof" is the wrong term. Square cut is better. Proofs as stated usually don't have anything printed on back.. Or a card that didn't make the real issue
