Most Mantle collectors will recognize this shot with him sliding into third base with Brooks Robinson...I've even seen signed examples over the years with Brooks adding the inscription "Out" and Mantle adding "Safe."

This 8x10 was the first autograph I ever paid for at a show in Valley Forge in 1984 and I believe Mantle's signature was like $10 (I later added Brooks at a car dealership)..

Anyways, I picked up this Wire Photo (sans the watermark) off eBay a few years ago taken a second or two afterwards and now it can be confirmed that the Mick was indeed safe.

I couldn't choose just one...

His two Baseball Magazine supplements (that I know of), these are way tougher to find than you would guess.

Scored programs from his first and last career homers.

I acquired this piece over 10 years ago. I had never seen this photo before, which was neat since this is how old Mick was when I was a boy. Plus my name is Mark too so it was meant to be. Anyways, was curious if others have seen this photo before.

I don't know if this is my "best" Mantle item, but it is definitely the one with the most interesting back story. I am very familiar with Burge Hospital as I grew up near Springfield, Mo.
