One sale doesn't equal market value is the lesson. In fact, one sale sometimes isn't even a sale.

Price guides can't be more reliable than the sales.

If you were one of two bidders bidding something up, and then you win it and try to sell it, sometimes there is now just one bidder left to bid.

Signed exhibits, meh. Only have they recently been given recognition. This one however is probably the cream of the crop, I'd love to own it.

True dat. Sometimes there are 5 rich guys fighting over a high ticket item. Sometimes its 3. And sometimes its 2.

I think sometimes we kid ourselves that there is a huge swath or people willing to pay 30 or 40 grand for a baseball card.
