complete series set release date?

Please excuse the beginner question, but it has been 20 years since I was collecting.

I recently purchased the 2014 Topps base set (series 1 & 2).

In 2015, will series 1 be released as a set, then series 2 be released as a set

or are the sets combines and released together in August?

Thanks

Sets

I buy a current Topps set each year to keep my run going. You can buy series 1 and then series 2 packs and put a combined set together yourself, or wait until someone on ebay offers complete series 1 and series 2 sets, or a combined series 1 & 2 collated set. Or you can do what I do and wait until later when Topps issues a complete boxed factory set that includes all of series 1 & 2 and usually some bonus cards. But Topps also usually issues an Update ( what used to be called Traded) set to the Series 1& 2 sets. It is usually 300 cards as well, and they have not been doing factory sets in recent years for the Update sets. So if you want one of the Update sets to go with the Series 1& 2 set, you either have to put it together yourself in packs , or buy a hand collated set on ebay later. I usually get the update set as well.

I personally like the Topps Heritage sets and have bought all of them as well. There are no factory sets for the main Heritage sets so you have to put them together yourself by packs or buy a complete set from an ebay seller or dealer. But, ironically, Topps has recently been issuing limited edition factory update sets for the Heritage sets.

Topps has a web site that list issue dates for all it's products

Thanks for the answers!
I'm not big on buying the packs because of all the inserts. Guess I have a few months to decide if I'll purchase the hand collected sets on ebay.
